What can kind of experience can I expect with Bodacious Betty?

Once your booking deposit is received and we’ve confirmed your shoot date, you will be provided with a modeling checklist to help you prepare.  The day of your arrival, our official make-up artist and hairstylist, Azarette Diaz of Glitz and Glam Make-up, will be on hand to transform you into a retro goddess.  Next, you will change into your wardrobe.  When the transformation is complete, you will spend lots of quality time with the photographer being guided into poses that bring out your most flattering qualities.

Once the shoot is complete, Bodacious Betty will retouch the final images and mail your photo CD to you.  You are free to use the logoed images for your own projects as you wish. 

What kind of wardrobe should I bring?

The answer to this will largely depend on the theme of your shoot.  For example, if theme is sexy librarian, obviously you will need a pencil skirt and a button down shirt with the appropriate accessories.  Bodacious Betty will be more than happy to provide suggestions and examples, and maybe able to put you in touch with a wardrobe consultant if need be.  

It is also suggested that you bring a second, back-up outfit.  Your outfits are only limited to your imagination:  lingerie, costumes, evening gowns, rockabilly wear, etc.; just keep in mind that your clothes should reflect the appropriate era.  Good examples of proper wardrobe would be ruffle panties, pearls, rhinestones, Mary Jane shoes, boyshorts, fishnet stockings, corsets, garters, or vintage bathing suits.

If you have props/accessories, bring them!  Props can give you extra flexibility and ideas for poses. 

May I bring a friend to the shoot?

 Yes, you may bring one friend with you, but please notify Bodacious Betty in advance.  Also note that male friends are prohibited if there are multiple clients shooting the same day.  (such as a special themed shoot where Bodacious Betty has secured a specific location and we are running a special)

May I bring a camera?

You may shoot some behind-the-scenes photos, but photos in the shooting area are prohibited. 

I’m shy. I feel like I don’t have the confidence to do a shoot like this.

Bodacious Betty is all about bringing out your confidence, and making you feel comfortable in your own skin.  We will do our best to make you feel comfortable, and make sure that you have a good time. 

 I love the idea of a retro themed photo shoot but I don’t know what look or theme I want.

Just ask!  We have lots of ideas. 

I’m under 18 but this looks like so much fun.

As long as a parent or legal guardian accompanies you to the photo shoot, Bodacious Betty will be happy to work with you.
